Get Ready for LABRE DX Contest 2025!

LABRE is pleased to invite ALL amateur radio operators, both in Brazil and worldwide, to another exciting edition of the LABRE DX Contest, which will take place on July 19–20, 2025, the third weekend of the month.

In only its second edition, the event is already firmly established on the national and international amateur radio calendar, bringing together stations from all over the globe in pursuit of contacts with the greatest number of Brazilian stations and prefixes during the contest period. Every Brazilian prefix—PU, PR, PY, PQ, etc.—including special callsigns, will be actively “hunted” across the 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter bands.

Open to amateur operators of all classes, ages, styles, and levels of experience, including a special category dedicated to newcomers, the contest is a great opportunity to test operating skills, improve station performance, and—most of all—celebrate the spirit of friendship and unity among amateur radio operators in Brazil and around the world.

What’s New in 2025?

The 2025 edition of the LABRE DX Contest brings some exciting new updates. Here are a few highlights:

LABRE State Divisions gain more visibility
A new category has been created exclusively for official stations of LABRE’s state divisions, which now count as valid multipliers. These stations are also included in a new club competition category.

Youth Category with clearer rules
Young operators up to 25 years old can compete in a dedicated category with up to 36 hours of operation. Birthdates must now be included directly in the log for automatic validation.

More power on the air: Expanded MULTI-MULTI category
The MULTI-MULTI category now allows up to 6 simultaneous signals, one per band, increasing the strategic and technical challenge.

Fairer log checking
Minor mistakes—such as incorrect callsigns or exchanges—will be handled with reduced penalties, encouraging new operators and promoting learning.

More transparent checklogs
At the organizers’ discretion, checklogs (submitted for verification only) may be made public, enhancing transparency and improving future editions.

How to Participate?

No prior registration is required. Just read the rules carefully and operate your station according to the contest guidelines. Log submission is mandatory and must be done within five days after the contest ends, in Cabrillo format, via the official LABRE website (labre.org.br/contest) or by email.

All participants who submit their logs on time will receive a digital certificate of participation. Category winners may receive award plaques, subject to sponsor availability.

Don’t miss the opportunity to put your callsign on the air and represent your region, state, or club!

Prepare your station, tune your antennas, and mark your calendar:
