9T0MD —> The DXpediton to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (9Q) is
still confirmed to take place from 30 September to 11 October [425DXN 1835].
The Mediterranean DX Club is conducting a survey to find out on which bands
and modes the DRC is most needed, so that they can plan their operations
accordingly: https://www.mdxc.support/9t0md/survey/.
VK9XY: REMOTE OPERATION PLAN —> The Pacific Islands DXpedition Group, in
partnership with Youth on the Air, has announced plans to offer approximate-
ly forty young amateur radio operators worldwide the opportunity to remotely
operate during the upcoming VK9XY DXpedition to Christmas Island, running
from 16 November through 4 December.
Two NexGen RiB2 remote radio systems will be deployed at approximately six
hundred meters west of the main operating site. They will be accessed via
“DXter”, a new cloud-based browser system supporting CW, SSB, and digital
modes without requiring additional software. The remote team will train on
both RiB2 stations during October to familiarize themselves with the plat-
form.
Young operators can contact Kees, W0AAE (arrl…@gmail.com) or Steve,
KI4WKR (KI4…@gmail.com) if interested in participating on the remote team.

WRTC 2026 RESCORING —> The results for the World Radiosport Team Champion-
ship 2026 have been rescored. Four teams have been disqualified and substan-
tial changes have been made to the order-of-finish and the award winners.
Since the conclusion of the onsite WRTC 2026 adjudication process on 13
July, significant new information prompted the Judging Committee to under-
take additional reviews. To uphold the competition’s integrity, the Organis-
ing Committee and Sanctioning Committee collectively supported this process
and issued updated results that void and replace all previously announced
standings.
The committee emphasized that participants were expected to adhere strict-
ly to the rules published throughout the planning process. While acknowledg-
ing the sensitive nature of these updates, the organizers noted that priori-
tizing accuracy and fairness is essential for the future of the event.
A detailed rescoring report, the new results and disqualifications can be
found on https://www.wrtc2026.org/.
The historical archive of WRTC competitions, along with the all-time list
of competitors and their finishing positions, has been updated with the
revised results: https://wrtc.info/.
XR0Z —> Felipe, XQ7IR and Moises, CE3VTZ will be active as XR0Z from
Alexander Selkirk Island (SA-101 for IOTA, Juan Fernandez for DXCC) for
about ten days in early October [425DXN 1841].
They recently held a Zoom meeting with the park ranger and local fishermen
representatives to plan the transport of expedition equipment to the island,
which presents a major logistical challenge due to Selkirk’s remote location
and rugged terrain. A VHF marine-band radio equipment will be installed upon
arrival and donated to local fishermen as a token of gratitude for their
ongoing support.
With departure approaching, essential items still need to be procured and
shipped. To cover these remaining logistical costs, the team is making a
special appeal to IOTA chasers, DXers, clubs, and international friends for
financial contributions, while extending heartfelt thanks to those who have
already provided support: https://www.xr0z.net/.
